Research: Self branding

Visual research was undergone in order to gain a strong understanding as to pre-existing self-branding, ensuring that my own designs stand out.

  • Bold colour palette
  • illustrative type-shows character
  • exhibits the illustrator's skills/characteristics

  • A range of deliverables have been developed, showcasing strong outputs
  • A brand identity has been established throughout via the usage of typography
  • stickers have been applied to relevant materials, embedding the brand
  • Brown boxes appear environmentally friendly

  • Block colours are highly effective
  • Variation has been met, making the brand identity visually pleasing
  • Kerned typeface relates to contemporary design trends

  • 3 tone colour pallete-keeps the consumer visually engaged-not too focusing
  • Strong typography in which stands out from a distance
  • colour and business card variations

  • the debossed variation appears strong-stands out from competitors
  • textured stock again makes the variation stand out
  • bold colour pallete

  • innovative design in which stands out
  • strong type setting

  • Variation is key, making the designs stand out
  • black and white colour variations-cheaper, yet appears classic

  • yellow-complies to contemporary design trends
  • embossed approach allows for an effective design
  • again variation is key

  • A range of deliverables-all in which contain a house style
  • Strong, bold typography-stands out

Summary
  • contemporary design trends are effective as they showcase a modern designer
  • bold typography is key, especially as it may promote my typesetting skills
  • variation is key, and therefore it may somehow be implemented within my designs
