Welfare Week: The Soft Road Talk + Workshop - 15:30 -17:00


The following blog post outlines a meditation talk attended at univeristy. The blog outlines key calming/motivational techniques discovered in order to enrich my creative mindset.

  • creativity and mindfulness have connections 
  • the less stress=more creativity 
  • drink warm water in the morning
  • meditation session twice a day-revitalising 
  • can offer an energy boost in which caffeine doesn't 
  • 2-5 times more relaxation than a deep sleep 
  • creativity is one of the first elements to shut off (creative block), as its not deemed 'useful by the body', therefore mediatting helps to replenish this. 
  • creativity is making thing.. food, gardening etc not just art
  • once you get in the pattern then it lasts a lifetime 
  • an enormous sense of wellbeing 
  • left me ready to do work 


Questions asked
  • do you ever fall asleep?-sometimes when you first start, although it's not usually sleep, still conscious just deep relaxation
