C.A.D inital and Crit 2nd

When taking my designs to the crit a variation of responses were correlated. Firstly it was suggested that to use a typeface in which I hadn't created/manipulated wouldn’t be a personal approach, and thus lacked originality.

When discussing the selected typefaces it was suggested that the first was much more artistic that the others due to the delicate curves and exaggerated x height. The second typeface seemed to derive a negative approach due to its ridged nature and unnatural stoke width combinations.

The modernist approach was applauded as it followed a basic design structure in which would be recognisable to all creative professionals.
